Now we have officially reached the third trimester and have only 12 weeks to go! I wanted to put that in perspective, so I thought about it in school terms. Only two 6-week grading periods! But those grading periods always seemed to really drag when I was teaching, so I have to find another comparison that doesn’t make it seem like quite a long time.
12 Weeks is also equivalent to…
- 84 days
- 2,016 hours
- Watching Titanic about 623 times
- Watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy about 216 times
- Flying from New York to Japan about 144 times
- Less time than from the end of the school year in May until now
Now that last one…that doesn’t seem like that long ago. So, we will have our little Baby Z in less time than it took summer to fly by.
Last weekend we went to Palo Duro with Ginger to hike since the weather has gotten cooler over the past couple weeks.
We had a good time and got to use our awesome new camera that I am still learning about. I know it can do a lot more than what I’ve used it for, but the automatic mode will have to do for now.
I found a rock that looked just like a peanut. It really did. It doesn’t sound too impressive, but it was. Trust me.
And this is a nice shot of just how beautiful the canyon can be. I don’t think people picture this when I tell them we live in Amarillo. We’ll bring Baby Z down here in the baby carrier when he/she is old enough.

who is that bearded man?
You look so cute with your big ol pregnant belly. LOVE YOU ELLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
