Baby Shower in Amarillo

This past weekend was a busy one, but it was wonderful.  Some of my favorite people came up to Amarillo for a baby shower.  I can’t thank those people enough for making the trip.  The lovely ladies who threw the shower put so much work in to it.  I would have never thought of the cute touches they added to everything.  You guys know who you are and I love y’all!

My mom, two of my sisters and my nephew Beckett came also.  Ben had babysitting duty with Beckett, who is 2 and a half and a really great kid.  However, I am thankful that we won’t start with a 2 and a half year old!  I don’t think I could keep up with him all day.  It will be good to start with a baby who can’t run off and take apart my air freshener.  Here is an adorable picture of he and my mom.  A special thanks to Carrie Hartman for being the photographer this weekend :)

The shower food was beautiful and delicious.  The lemon cups were such a hit, and I am sure that left unsupervised I could have eaten about 6 of them.  I am still enjoying some of the other treats that I was lucky enough to take home with me!

I love the little birds on the coconut cupcakes.  Kimberly gave me a few to keep that I plan to use somewhere in Baby Z’s room.

The raspberry white chocolate almond bars were crazy good.  I might just have to have  one for breakfast tomorrow.

We received so many sweet gifts that I am excited to put to good use.  Thanks to all the Amarillo folks who took time out of their busy Saturday to come to the shower.  It meant so much to have so many great friends there.

I did my first load of baby laundry with my new baby laundry soap last night and folded things and put them away.  Those newborn onesies are pretty adorable!  In about 8 weeks, we’ll get to use them!
