Last mother’s day Ben took me out to eat and had roses waiting at the restaurant. He’d gone out earlier in the day and dropped them off. How did I snag such a wonderful man? We both knew I was pregnant with baby Z then, but I wasn’t very far along in the pregnancy so we hadn’t told many people.
So, Sunday was my first official mother’s day! It was also Carson’s baby dedication at church, so it was really a special day for our little family. Ben’s parents were here, and we had a great time with them. We had a yummy mother’s day breakfast, went to church, had a tasty lunch of Rudy’s BBQ with my Grandpa Marvin & Patti, Ben gave me some beautiful roses and everyone suffered through the ridiculously long wait for frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf. Thankfully the yogurt was delicious AND mothers got 50% off so it wasn’t a total loss.
Here are some pictures of our weekend.
In other news, Carson is becoming more of a “talker” these days and is rolling over easily, but not frequently. Last night he slept on his tummy after rolling around for a while trying to get comfortable I guess. He is eating sweet potatoes, green beans and pears now and loving every bit of it. We are approaching his 6 month birthday! Can’t believe it’s been 6 months already.

Wow!! That’s a lot of changes in a very short time. I love the photos. The black and white is fantastic!
