Carson had his 6 month check up yesterday morning. He weighs 16 pounds and is 28 inches long, 22nd and 92nd percentile respectively. He had to get 3 shots. Not fun. But after a long nap he and I had a great day getting lunch with some friends and then spent some time in the backyard enjoying the beautiful, breezy, warm day we had yesterday.
My previous post mentions some of Carson’s latest developments, and nothing much has changed since then.
On Carson’s actual 6 month birthday he gave us one of the hardest days we’ve ever had with him that left the entire family frazzled. Carson has figured out how to roll over in bed, but not how to roll back over which leaves him with quite the dilemma. The only way to solve his problem at this point in his life is to let us know that he is in a bit of a predicament and he needs someone to help him out of it. And he lets us know by screaming. When we do get in there he has upset himself enough that he won’t go back to sleep. This led to Carson not having a nap between 1 in the afternoon and 7 in the evening. Yuck.
I bought a snuggle nest about a year ago thinking we might use it in bed with us, but Carson never slept in bed with us and it has been tucked away in the closet until Ben suggested we try it in his crib. It was the perfect solution and now he is sleeping beautifully, and so are we.
Here are some shots of our sweet boy! He is such a blessing.
