8 Months

Our little man is changing all the time!  It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 months already.  I’ll probably be saying that phrase forever, just inserting whatever age he is at the time.

 Carson loves his best buddy Ginger!  That love isn’t captured very well here…

Here are some of Carson’s latest developments.  At 8 months, he is now…

• Sitting up very well on his own, with a few tumbles 
• Saying “words” like dada, mama, baba, papa
• Fake coughing (it’s hilarious)
• Drinking from a sippy cup
• Eating puffs
• Eating peaches, pears, sweet potatoes, carrots and peas
• Enjoying his ability to shriek and get a reaction from people
• Loving to watch other kids and scream at them

It’s so fun to watch him figure stuff out.  He’s constantly taking in everything he sees and learning how the world works.

At the end of last month we went home for Ben’s high school reunion.  Carson took his first trip to lake LBJ!  I hope this was the first of many.  Next time we’ll get him strapped in to some skis…maybe…

While we were down there Carson and I went to my parents house to celebrate my Dad’s birthday!  We also got to see Aunt Lisa, Lindsey and Sarah, and Uncle Scott. It was really fun to visit with cousins Beckett, Lane and Maren.

This naked pool party was one of the highlights of the trip.  Words cannot express how hilarious this was.  I would say that about 90% of the pictures taken that evening shouldn’t be shared on the internet.
