Carson has been army crawling for some time now. Here are some shots from yesterday afternoon. He’d crawled into the dining room, so I went in there with the camera and sat on the floor in front of him. The camera was a great incentive for him to crawl over to me. He’s grabbing for it in the last shot here.

Every so often he’ll get on his hands and knees, tummy off of the ground, but he doesn’t ever make any forward motion…until today!
Today was Ben’s last day at work here in Amarillo, so Carson and I went up there to visit. I love how much the people up there love to see Carson. I don’t think all work environments are like this, and so I’m very thankful that this is where Ben started working, but it makes it even harder to leave.
It’s a Friday, and it was close to lunch when we got there, so Carson had an audience. He’s starting to realize how popular he is and how much power he has over adults. When he claps, people clap with him and start to talk in high pitched voices. I’m sure he’s wondering why we’re all so silly. So he’s on the floor of the office, and he goes from sitting to crawling, which wouldn’t be so surprising if he’d been dragging himself along the floor like he usually does. But he was on his hands and knees, no tummy dragging, moving along the floor. I knew I had to document this little milestone. On daddy’s last day of work, he properly crawls for the first time. I caught him on video once we got home. I bribed him with my sunglasses.

Oh he is just too cute for words!
Carrie….I will admit, I didn’t read this post. I couldn’t get past this child’s eyes! You really need to get him on the cover of a magazine very soon! Ok, now I’ll go read.
What a handsome little fella you have there! Will you guys be heading back to Austin?
Thank you! We sure think so :) Carson and I are coming down to visit next week!
