Our sweet baby girl made her debut on September 5, 2012 at 9:50 am. She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. We absolutely love her.
We settled on Elizabeth Marjorie just a few hours after she was born. Much better than the 2 days we took to decide on Carson Thomas! Her name is a combination of family names on Ben’s side and mine. Elizabeth is from Ben’s side of the family, both his mom and dad have Elizabeths in the family. Marjorie was my maternal grandmother’s name. We are calling her Betsy.
Here she is just a few minutes old!
Our first family photo.
After her bath in the sweet hat they gave her at the hospital.
Mommy and baby bonding time.
She is a week and 1 day old today and we’re slowly but surely figuring out life with two kids! Although I haven’t yet experienced what my reality will be since we’ve had so much help from family. I honestly do not know how people do it by themselves.
Betsy has already gotten to spend some special time with her Grandma and Papa
Aunt Claire
Aunt Sarah
Mormor
and Grandpa
Oh, and Ginger.
Betsy watched her first A&M game with daddy this past weekend. We were all hoping for a better ending to our first game in the SEC. Next time we’ll just have to wear more maroon.
Carson is loving her, at least that’s what I tell myself. His favorite thing to do with her is to point out and name her body parts, head, ears, eyes, tummy, hands, feet and toes. This little moment on the couch was such a precious one. We are so incredibly blessed.
In honor of Betsy being a week old yesterday, we took a trip to Target.
Carson had a terrific time.
Ok, one last picture of our baby girl.
