Big Blue Eyes and a Heart of Gold
Ben helped me with the caption and now we’re listening to the song. Anyway, we had another decent day. Betsy took 4 naps, each about an hour. Night time is something we’re going to have to work on next. Last night and tonight we put her down around 7 and she was up at 10 last night and 9 tonight to eat. And then she got up at 2 am, again at 5, then 7. I am going to be a brand new woman when she decides to start sleeping through the night on a regular basis. I messed around some more with the camera today. I like bright pictures, so I am really enjoying my new-found ability to control light without using a flash. This one is pretty bright, maybe too blown out, but I just love her expression. I also love that she is better today than she was yesterday at holding her upper body up while on her tummy. Babies grow so fast.
Carson is really…well, he’s 2 I guess. He used to be pretty good about obeying and doing what I asked of him. Not that he always obeyed, not even close, but his disobedience just wasn’t quite as obvious and thought about. He will look at me after I’ve said something and do the exact opposite of what I’ve asked him or told him to do and sometimes he just says “No.” and walks off. I guess what bothers me is that now I know that he knows that he’s disobeying. At one point today he laughed after he told me he wasn’t going to do something and said “Look funny!” which I am sure was describing the look on my face as this all went down. But he is so sweet at the same time. There are a few books that we read every night, sometimes multiple times. We’ve gotten to the point now that I won’t read the last word in each sentence and he will finish it for me. I need to get it on tape. It’s great.

She is SO beautiful Carrie! And you are a wonderful Mom. And I’m bringing my camera over this weekend so you can teach me a few things. Camera lessons for babysitting? :)
