5 Months Old
Like most things in life that involve time passing I feel like the last 5 months have gone rather quickly, but at the same time I feel like they have been a very, very, very long 5 months. Betsy celebrated today by taking a 2 hour nap this morning. Woohoo!! I almost didn’t know what to do with myself. I was able to have good conversations with both Sarah and Lindsey during that time, eat breakfast, fold a load of laundry, get Carson ready for the day, AND get myself ready for the day. We went and met Ben for lunch at Five Guys. On the way I called Lisa and we chatted the entire drive. I don’t remember the last time I talked to each of my sweet sisters on the phone on the same day. We got the spicy fries. That was a mistake. Carson was scratching at his tongue saying, “Take off!” until we convinced him to eat some of his hamburger bun. Parents of the year! He didn’t eat anymore of the fries.
Both kids took naps on the way home and both then refused naps in the afternoon. That is why I don’t go out every day. Car naps don’t count for me. I need at home nap time. But I am so glad we went to see Ben. The last couple days Betsy has been going to bed before Ben gets home, so if we hadn’t gone he wouldn’t have seen her at all today. She was an angel at lunch, all smiles for Ben. She’s already got him wrapped around her little chubby fingers!
