Happy Valentine’s Day!
My mom sent a little Valentine’s Day package to Carson and Betsy. Inside there were cards, some personalized InchBug bottle labels (that I am very excited to make use of) and a little Valentine’s snickers bar. I let Carson eat it after dinner. He doesn’t eat much candy, so it was kind of funny to see him take the first couple bites. He decided it was pretty yummy. He also make a great chocolately mess and wiped his hands on his shirt, thankfully not the table cloth. He had a good time inspecting the flowers Ben got me. He brought them home yesterday after I’d told him earlier in the week not to buy me any. But I’m glad he did. It’s always nice to have fresh flowers in the house.
It’s funny, I used to get real excited about Valentine’s Day. If we weren’t going out somewhere I’d want to make some wonderful meal at home, candlelit of course. I’d also send Valentines to my friends and family. This year I didn’t have a plan for dinner until 3 this afternoon and we ate in front of the tv. Oh, and I bought Ben a card at the grocery store today and signed it in the car before I headed home. And the thought of sending Valentines didn’t cross my mind until Monday and I knew I couldn’t get my act together in time. Things change I guess.
