Silly Betsy

Today I took some pictures of Betsy in a dress my Grandma June wore as a baby.  This one isn’t great quality, but she got so tickled when Carson came into the room and playing with her that I had to share this shot.

This morning I helped face paint at a neighborhood spring festival with our church.  It’s safe to say that I didn’t miss my calling.  There were 3 of us working.  The first girl who came to me asked for a flower.  She wanted it on her hand.  As I was working on it, only about 1/4 of the way through she said, “I want the other lady.”  I said, “OK!”  It’s funny how I used to really desire to have kids like me, now when they do something like that I just let it go.  Kids just do stuff like that, and I’m glad I’ve learned that it’s nothing personal.  Ben walked around with the kids while I worked.  They had a fire truck there and Ben said Carson couldn’t stay away, which didn’t surprise me in the least!

After naps we went to eat at Guru, a burger place here in Sugar Land where we’ve become regulars.  We’ve had the same waitress the last 3 or 4 times.  Before too long she’s going to see us coming and put our order in right away since we’ve ordered the same thing every single time.  Both Carson and Betsy were good, which made it a really enjoyable time together.
