In the Toy Box

I looked over from the couch this morning and found Carson here watching Umi Zoomi.  There were a bunch of toys in there, so I can’t imagine it was very comfortable.

Ben bought a new (used) car today!  This moment has been a long time coming.  We traded in his Montero Sport for our Murano when we were living in Amarillo in December of 2009.  I got the new car, and Ben got my Civic.  Oh, the Civic.  I remember the day my dad bought me that car.  I was working as a pool manager and thanks to a thunderstorm we had the day off.  I remember sitting at the kitchen table with Sarah, going through ads in the paper.  Yes, the paper, not the internet.  Anyway, we saw the ad for the civic, went up to check it out, showed it to my dad and bought it the same day.  It’s been a good car and is a lot of fun to drive, but it was time for Ben to get something nice for himself and I’m glad he did.  At the moment we have 3 cars and only 2 drivers in our household…

This afternoon both kids went down for naps around 2 and BOTH of them woke up around 4.  A short nap for Carson, but a GREAT nap for Betsy!  Of course I didn’t get to just sit back and enjoy it because Ben had come home so that we could go look at the car.  Why is it that those long naps always seem to happen when we have somewhere to be?
