No picture for today. I didn’t take a single one. I guess I was just too preoccupied/lazy. After church this morning I cleaned the house, Ben did the grocery shopping, the kids took naps (Betsy napped from 1:30 to 4:30!) and then some friends came over for dinner and then it was 11 and time for bed. But I’m actually kind of glad I didn’t go out of my way or stress about getting a photo. We had a great evening and while I’d hoped I could do this project without missing a day it’s not the end of the world. Gosh, it’s feels nice to cut myself some slack.
This weekend was not terribly busy. We had a 1st birthday party on Saturday. Every one of the 4 families there has an older son between the ages of 2 and 3, and a younger daughter between 7 months and a year. It’s a great encouragement when everyone is going through, has gone through or will go through some of the same struggles. Ben took a bike ride Saturday afternoon and then it rained from 2 until after 11. We got something like 7.5 inches. We watched a movie in the middle of the afternoon and Ben suggested popping some popcorn. Genius. I was telling Sarah about our weekend today and while I was describing it I thought, “This is kinda lame.” but I really enjoyed it so I guess I might be lame. And that’s ok with me.
