I don’t remember what was going on here, but I couldn’t resist capturing these 3 on the couch. I’m sure if I rummaged through old college photos I could find a similar one.
I left my mom’s house around 1 and drove out to the lake with Carson. It rained like crazy a lot of the way, but by the time I got to the house it had stopped. I was able to unload the car while Carson played with some toys inside. It’s amazing how freeing it was to just have one child to care for! I love Betsy to pieces, but I was glad to get a little break from the attention that 8 month olds require.
Ben and Kolby and Candace showed up around the same time, followed by Scott and Jennifer. Kate and Steve showed up a little later. Scott grilled hot dogs, we got all the kids to bed and then Ryan and Kim got to the house. I am so thankful that most everyone could make it, and even more thankful that I am still friends with all of these wonderful people.
