Carson’s favorite set of stairs ever in the history of stairs

We had a real hard time getting him off of these today at lunch.  We couldn’t even tempt him with french fries.  Food trucks are great, but not the best choice when you have a toddler and the truck is parked on Montrose.  Someone had to constantly monitor Carson to make sure he didn’t get too close to the street.  The things we do.  Very thankful for our good friends who helped out!

This morning we went on a family run.  After Betsy’s nap we met up with The Hartmans, and Travis and Jean at Discovery Green.  We played a little bocce and then headed to Koagie Hots food truck for lunch.  I had a kimchi hot dog and kimchi fries.  It was delicious, but the service wasn’t the friendliest.  We headed home for naps and got home around 1.  Everyone was pretty tired, but it was that good kind of tired you are after being out in the sun just long enough.  I haven’t had that in a while and it felt great.  Once Carson and Betsy were asleep I went to the grocery store by myself and had the pleasure of coming across 2 wine tastings and had a great conversation with one of the guys, a friendly older man, about cooking with a smoker and how he always eats his smoked fish with red wine even though “that sommeliere over there” wouldn’t advise it.  It was nice to have a casual grocery store outing.  I’ve always had the greatest conversations with random people at grocery stores.
