Carson’s Deer
This morning we took a trip to Michael’s for some supplies for an art project. I saw a beautiful print on a blog and was going to buy it to hang in our bedroom. Well, the size I wanted/needed was almost $100, and then framing would’ve been another couple hundred. So I thought, “I can make something. How hard could it be?” Turns out that it is HARD. I’ve painted 7 canvases so far and I only really like 2 of them. I’m either just totally ungifted when it comes to art, or I have no patience. Maybe it’s both! But now I have original “artwork” hanging in our bedroom.
While at Michael’s we went down the aisle that has the little animal figurines. Carson pointed them out to me and so I got him out of the cart and let him pick one. He picked up a mommy and a baby deer and then started talking about Mormor and grandpa and the lawnmower and feeding the deer. When I asked him what the deer ate he said, “popsicles”. So we took both the mommy and baby deer home. It wouldn’t have been right to just get one of them.
