Birthday Dinner
This morning we drove to Round Rock. Betsy cried for 30 minutes before finally falling asleep, and then taking a good hour long nap in the car. She woke up a much happier girl as we arrived at my parents house. We ate Hoody’s for lunch. Kids took naps (Betsy a short one, of course!). Sarah, Lane and I went to the grocery store. Ben got the oil changed. We spent a little time in the pool. Had birthday dinner for my dad. Played a few hands of 6 person spades (an interesting way to play). And then the men went out on the deck to drink bourbon and smoke cigars. Ladies stayed inside to tend to Betsy who wasn’t feeling too great. We think she might have a cold or allergies. Carson provided a lot of entertainment today and got to stay up late to sing happy birthday and have cake.
