Lunch with Amarillo friends
We met up with Whitney Warren and Renee, and Jackie Williams, Maddie and Emma at City Centre today. Jackie is visiting her sister in Lake Jackson and Whitney took the day off work to get together. The green space has been painted like a football field with Texas A&M on one end and Alabama on the other in honor of the big game coming up on Saturday! It was a fun morning. The kids were all very well behaved. It was warm but there was a consistent breeze that made it almost pleasant! The only bad thing was at one point when Carson was hiding in some bushes. I didn’t think much of it until I went to get him and suddenly realized he’d been doing his business in there and not all of it had been contained in his diaper. Thankfully it wasn’t terrible and we were on our way home anyway. I almost didn’t put a diaper for him in the bag since I haven’t ever had to use one for him when we’ve just gone out for lunch. A lesson to you, always grab an extra diaper!
Betsy napped on the way home and so she didn’t nap this afternoon. Carson napped on the way home and continued to sleep once we got home for another 3 hours. He might have been catching up from yesterday.
