Skull light + salad spinner = FUN!
When you find yourself waiting in a ridiculously long line for little more than a Halloween shirt and some pajamas without holes in the toes you might just find your 3 year old wanting and pleading for a toy that most stores conveniently place at the check out line. That is how we ended up with this spinning skull light. It has actually been a really fun toy for both Betsy and Carson. Hooray for impulse purchases!
I actually try very, very hard not to get stuff at the register. It’s not much with one kid, a few dollars every now and again. But once Betsy starts wanting stuff, and then if we ever have more kids, I’m in a good deal deeper than a couple bucks. I am sure, “But he/she got one!!” would be a phrase I’d hear way too often. So I while I did give in today, I am conscious of what giving in will look like very soon.
Betsy is already expressing her dislikes more often. Not discomfort or need. Just dislike. For example, “I don’t want you to take the dog food out of my mouth!” or “I don’t want you to take my hand out of the toilet!” or “READ ME MORE BOOKS! I DO NOT WANT TO BE IN THIS CRIB!!!” I know I am going to struggle with my wonderful, strong-willed girl.
