A haircut and a new van
Carson got a hair cut today. It didn’t go very well. I ended up having to hold him in my lap, another woman working there held Betsy. I’m thankful that it wasn’t busy because I don’t think I could’ve managed Carson and held Betsy. I wasn’t expecting him to have such a hard time. He’s been doing better each time we’ve gone for a haircut. We go to the same place every time. We talk about it before we go and he even tells me what’s going to happen with the chair and the clippers and the spray. So why is it so terrible when we get there?! I guess adults can have the same problem of knowing what’s coming but still not being able to handle it when it actually happens. I do wonder what else we can do to ease the pain for Carson. Surely not everyone has the same problems we do. Some kids enjoy haircuts, right? They gave us this van as a parting gift.
