Visiting Uncle Chris’s House
I’d only seen pictures of his place and was excited to get to see some of the work he’d done on it. His house in only a couple miles from ours (on some windy and hilly roads). It’s a really great house with tremendous views. I can see why people want to live here.
We took a short walk around the neighborhood then went to lunch. We brought the kids home for naps and then I went shopping with Claire, Chris, Kate and Todd. I had to exercise some serious self restraint at everyplace we went to. Ben, you would have been so proud! I didn’t buy a thing.
This evening Angela and Guy Sohie, friends of Kate and Steve’s since the late 80’s came over and we all went to eat. The kids had had enough of sitting after about 10 minutes, but thanks to Claire and Kate we all survived without meltdowns.
