20 Weeks
We went in for our 20 weeks ultrasound and anatomy scan yesterday and everything went well, although the doctor did spend a lot of time looking at baby’s abdomen, increasing and decreasing the brightness, which of course made me anxious. But in the end said everything looked ok. They gave us a few good pictures to take home.
After a lot of uncertainty (from me), we decided not to find out the gender of the baby. I was torn about it. Wanting to know, but also wanting to be surprised like we were with Carson. I can honestly say I don’t think there is a better way to do it, having done it both ways. I felt like there was pressure from people on both sides, and that’s hard to ignore when making a decision like this, especially when you’re unsure yourself. But now that we decided not to find out I feel better about it and am ready to prepare for a baby and not get all worked up about a girl or a boy. I’ll just have clothes ready for both. I’m going to use the bedding that we used for Carson, black and white with the birds. I’m glad to use it again since Kate made it.
Since we’re not finding out I thought putting a poll on the blog would be fun. So feel free to vote! It’s on the sidebar of the blog.
In general I feel fine. I’ve gained 12 pounds. I’m feeling the baby move, just little flutters throughout the day. I’m starting to get heartburn like I did with Carson and Betsy after eating just about anything. I hate heartburn. But other than that everything is going well, for which I am very thankful.

You are beautiful!!!
