39 Weeks and 6 Days
Tomorrow I will have reached my due date, something I didn’t do with Carson or Betsy. And, to be quite honest, I was neither expecting or hoping to reach tomorrow without a baby in my arms! But every baby is different, and this one is real happy in the womb apparently. The baby comes when the baby comes, and I am glad that we didn’t induce last week. I feel better knowing that we didn’t have to make the baby adhere to our schedules and instead have been allowed to let him or her come when they’re ready.
Other than feeling impatient and waking up every morning for the past week a bit irritated that I hadn’t gone into labor the night before, I feel good. I’ve been able to get a lot of cleaning, organizing and little tasks done, which I know a lot of ladies aren’t feeling well enough to do at this point in their pregnancy. I have a lot to be thankful for.
Hopefully I will go into labor in the next 4 days. If not we’ll induce on Monday, the 23rd, which wouldn’t be ideal, but we’ll deal with it if we have to!
You look great! I didn’t reach my due date with either of my girls either – bless you! At least by the time number 3 comes along you’re too busy to sit around counting the days! Can’t wait to hear if baby is a boy or girl! :)
