Another week down with 3 kids. But we’ve had consistent help, so I have no clue what life is really going to be like as a mom of 3 on my own. I’m really wondering how I’m ever going to grocery shop again!
Sarah was here most of the day on Monday.
Shallan came out on Tuesday and brought us dinner and hung out until the kids went down for naps. I think nap time might be one of the hardest parts of our day once I’m doing it on my own.
Kate got here Tuesday night and was a huge help while she was here.
On Wednesday Brooke Schwab came to take pictures of the kids. Carson and Betsy weren’t super cooperative, but I think she was able to get some sweet pictures and I cannot wait to see them!
Thursday we managed to run an errand and then got chick-fil-a for lunch. Steve got here in the afternoon and Ben was able to get home a little earlier than normal.
Friday, the 4th of July, we took a walk in the morning. Christopher had his first “up the back” poopy diaper while we were at the park and I was thankful that I’d packed the diaper bag with wipes and a newborn diaper. Not so thankful that I failed to include extra clothes for the little guy. Sorry, buddy.
We grilled Friday night and even though it stormed they still did the fireworks in our neighborhood and we could see them from the front yard. Carson could see them from his window, so I got him out of bed and we watched them outside in the rain. He thought they were really cool!
On Saturday we really just hung out, Ben and Carson got haircuts. The kids, Ben and Steve took a trip to Walmart to find a bike tube for Carson’s bike. Kate, Christopher and I took a trip to Target later in the day to get a few things, one of which was a new monitor! It’s amazing. You can move to camera to scan the room! It’s only been 4 years since we picked out Carson’s monitor, which was pretty nice at the time, and there’s so much more out there. Thanks, Kate and Steve :)
On Sunday Kate left in the morning and Steve stayed and went to church with us. Not only did we manage to go to church but lunch afterwards! Christopher slept through it all and just got fussy on our way home.
