I’m a little late on updating the blog, and a lot has gone on in the past 3 weeks! It’s been busy and fun. I apologize in advance for the overwhelming number of pictures in this post…
A couple weeks ago we went up to Dallas to visit the Persherns and celebrate Beckett’s 7th birthday.
These pictures are from our house the week before.
We went to the Perot with my dad on Friday since the boys were in school and Lindsey and Scott were working. It was really busy, lots of school groups, so I’d love to go back again on a less busy day. It’s not only a great museum but an incredible building.
The kids had a great time jumping on the trampoline! I was so proud of Carson for being more willing than usual to try it out. Betsy was another story, but she still enjoyed it.
We went to Medieval Times for Beckett’s birthday! It was crazy, but fun.
The week before Easter we didn’t do a whole lot, mainly I was getting ready to leave and spend the weekend in Hico. We did manage to dye Easter eggs. The kids had an OK time, but weren’t really in to it. And I was probably a little too controlling, but toddlers can’t be left with too much freedom with bowls of egg dye. Next year we’ll do it outside.
On Friday morning we headed to Austin and spent that day and evening with Kate and Steve. We left Saturday morning for Hico. That day was beautiful.
We celebrated Grandpa Marvin’s 95th and had en egg hunt with the cousins.
Easter Sunday was rainy and kind of miserable. Carson lost it a little that morning. I think he was just tired and there was too much going on for him. But mom and Ben played some beautiful music so we could worship for Easter.
We drove back to Sugar Land that afternoon. The kids did a good job on the drive, we stopped in College Station for lunch, and got home with enough time to unpack and unwind before putting the kids to bed and ending the weekend.
