Walking with Uncle Chris Chris is here this weekend because Jessi Wincek is getting married on Saturday.  Today Kate brought us to Regents to see their newest building.  Carson was getting tired and Chris helped out by carrying him. A bunch of people were over for dinner tonight and Ben drove in from Houston.

Happy Halloween! We drove to Round Rock this morning through some pretty heavy rain and even though the rain had let up by the time we turned onto 71, I saw a lot of the flooding that had occurred in the Austin area the night before.  It’s always amazing to me how powerful water can … [Read more…]

Hammer Cookie I’m working on Carson’s birthday party, which is tool themed.  Today I thought I’d get a head start on the cookies.  I tried a new recipe and it took overcooking a couple batches before figuring out a better baking time and temperature.  Thankfully Carson loved the overcooked cookies, and I got a couple … [Read more…]

The kids were troopers as we headed home at 8, in their pajamas and reading their books.  Thanks for the books, Lynn!  When we got home they went to bed pretty easily, even with me … [Read more…]

I can’t think of a caption for this.  It’s Betsy crawling with a blanket on her head.  We were kind of playing peek a boo, I throw the blanket over her head and she pulls it off and I saw “peek a boo!”.  It was funny at the time, and was the only picture … [Read more…]

Why I’m moving my nail polish Carson didn’t get into stuff like Betsy does.  At least I don’t remember him doing it as much.  He did open the cabinet that had the kitchen dish towels and take them all out and he pressed buttons on the cable box and DVD player.  Betsy does all … [Read more…]

No tears in the bath! When I told Carson tonight that he was going to take a bath after Betsy was done with hers, he seemed ok.  But after getting Betsy dressed in her pajamas Carson ran into the other room and demanded to “stay right here!”.  I was again determined not to lose it, … [Read more…]
