Fireslice Pizza There were a number of places I would’ve like to have eaten while in Amarillo.  We got to go to two of them today.  Frazzleberry yogurt this afternoon with The Polleys and Lackeys and then dinner at Fireslice tonight.  Both still wonderful.  Next time we must go to Cowboy Gelato and Coyote Bluff! … [Read more…]

First movie! Ben stayed home with Betsy and I took Carson to see Despicable Me 2.  It was fun.  He did a pretty good job and was glued to the movie most of the time, which wasn’t surprising.  He doesn’t have whispering down, so that was our only issue. Tonight Mike and Shelly, Bonnie … [Read more…]

Red, White and Blue Happy 4th!  Today we flew to Amarillo for a long weekend to visit Grandpa Marvin, Patti and some of our friends.  Of course I had everyone in patriotic colors.  I wish we’d gotten a picture of us all together. Betsy pulled up like this on the chair all by herself.  I … [Read more…]

Betsy and Claire The Lansfords are moving to Fort Worth in a couple of weeks and so we had one last play date before they leave Houston.  We had a nice time this morning.  Our kids are so close in age and it makes me sad that they won’t be growing up together.  But Fort … [Read more…]

Lunch This lunch was a little monochromatic, but her outfit makes up for the bland colored food don’t you think?  Betsy has become pretty good at feeding herself.  She’s loved everything we’ve given her so far.  She especially likes cheerios, cheddar cheese and bananas.  She grabs food by the fistful, just like her big … [Read more…]

Two Spoons Carson usually eats those yogurts in the tube, but today he refused.  So I put it in a bowl hoping to encourage him with the “you’re a big boy and big boys eat their yogurt in bowls with spoons” logic.  He didn’t fall for it, but he did enjoy scooping the yogurt with … [Read more…]

Starting them early I’d like to say we have 2 budding musicians on our hands, but Carson pretty much just banged as hard as he could and Betsy’s hands just aren’t quite big enough yet.  But it was fun to have them both play together. This morning we spent some time at my parents house, … [Read more…]

Birthday Dinner This morning we drove to Round Rock.  Betsy cried for 30 minutes before finally falling asleep, and then taking a good hour long nap in the car.  She woke up a much happier girl as we arrived at my parents house.  We ate Hoody’s for lunch.  Kids took naps (Betsy a short … [Read more…]

Happy 65th Grandpa! This picture took me a long time to get, and it’s not even very good!  It seems like when you really want your kids to do something is precisely when they will not do it.  But it serves its purpose.  Happy Birthday, Grandpa!  See you tomorrow! Today was our last day of … [Read more…]

Drinking Milk All by her big self.  She quickly turns over onto her tummy and then has trouble continuing to drink her milk, but she does do a great job of holding her cup!
