Maybe that&#8217;s because I only post pictures of my kids, who took Ginger&#8217;s spot as center of the universe when they were born.\u00a0 It happens. \u00a0People are just more important than dogs. \u00a0I said it. \u00a0And it&#8217;s true. \u00a0A good friend of mine worried and worried that she wouldn&#8217;t love her kid as much as her dog. \u00a0I know she was kidding about it, at least partly :) And even that dog has taken a back seat to their new little guy. \u00a0But I do still love sweet Ginger, even though she isn&#8217;t as high on my priority list as she once was. \u00a0She&#8217;s a good dog and doesn&#8217;t love us any less than she did before Carson and Betsy came along. \u00a0She&#8217;s even made room in her little doggy heart for them. \u00a0Sniff, sniff&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Today I was messing around in the yard with a weak little crepe myrtle that has seen better days. \u00a0It&#8217;s too close to some other large trees and bushes and has all but lost the battle. \u00a0One of the branches was broken, so I tried to pull down the broken part. \u00a0Along with that came the whole branch, down to the ground. \u00a0So I pulled some more and was able to easily take 4 huge pieces down. \u00a0I&#8217;d like to get rid of the poor thing entirely. \u00a0Anyway, Ginger had a blast with what I was able to get out of the bushes and will have plenty to do out in the yard for a good while.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Ginger This is our dog Ginger. \u00a0She&#8217;s been with us since February of 2009. \u00a0We drove to Elk City, Oklahoma to get her from a shelter when she was just a wee little thing. \u00a0She was our first &#8220;baby&#8221;. \u00a0Have you seen her yet in my posts? \u00a0No?
