So Pensive<\/em><\/p>\n

This picture makes me smile. \u00a0If you know Carson, you know he didn’t pose for this, which makes is even funnier. \u00a0We spent quite a bit of time outside today. \u00a0I took the double stroller out for a “jog” (well, maybe more of a quick walk) this morning. \u00a0Then I brought a quilt outside for Betsy and I to sit on while Carson ran wild. He was pretty interested in sitting on the “bwane queen” with us, with occasional trips around the yard. \u00a0After lunch and naps we came back outside for a while. \u00a0Carson and I got to watch two lizards having a battle of dominance on the wall of the house. \u00a0I took a 6 minute video of it. \u00a0It was actually really interesting and the science teacher in me came out a little bit.<\/p>\n

Betsy is getting a tooth! It’s barely sticking out, but giving her quite a bit of trouble. And so it’s giving me quite a bit of trouble as well. \u00a0Teething seems so painful. \u00a0I can only imagine it’s something like growing pains, and I vividly remember laying in bed and crying as a kid when I had those. \u00a0So you’d think I’d be a sweet sympathetic mother and just love on her, right? \u00a0Wrong. \u00a0I got so frustrated with her not taking an afternoon nap. \u00a0I had her on tylenol. \u00a0I had been up to her room multiple times to soothe her. \u00a0After an hour of that I said some nasty things to her about giving me a break and whatnot. \u00a0It’s a good thing little ones don’t remember what their parents say, but I still felt pretty guilty about being so impatient. \u00a0I can only hope I am the only mother who loses it from time to time (like everyday).<\/p>\n
