Future Aggies<\/em><\/p>\n

Today we took a drive up to College Station just because. \u00a0Carson wore his new Aggie hat. \u00a0As we were driving we had a conversation that went something like this.<\/p>\n

Carson: “Going to see some Aggies.”<\/p>\n

Me: “Yeah! \u00a0It’s going to be so fun.”<\/p>\n

Carson: “So fun!”<\/p>\n

Me: “What do you want to do when we see the Aggies?”<\/p>\n

Carson: “Bring Aggies home and read books about Jesus.”<\/p>\n

It really made us laugh.<\/p>\n

Neither of the kids slept on the drive. \u00a0We got into town and had lunch at Blue Baker. \u00a0Then we went to Target for baby food and wipes because I hadn’t restocked the diaper bag before we left.<\/p>\n

We took a walk around west campus where we found some ducks to feed. \u00a0The weather was perfect.<\/p>\n

I never came over here when I was in school and I’ve never been to the George Bush Library. \u00a0I’d never seen this sculpture which is made of pieces of the Berlin Wall. \u00a0How did I not take advantage of this while I was in school?<\/p>\n

Then we drove out to a great spot, the highest in the area, with tremendous views. \u00a0We didn’t get out to take pictures because the kids both fell asleep and if the kids are asleep you do not stop the car. \u00a0We’d driven out here in college with a bunch of friends to watch the sunset one evening.<\/p>\n

For dinner we tried a burger place called Grub Burger Bar that a friend of Ben’s had recommend. \u00a0It was really delicious. \u00a0There are plans to open one up in Houston soon!<\/p>\n

After dinner we headed home thinking that both kids would sleep. \u00a0Nope. \u00a0Betsy has started severely disliking being in the back by herself. \u00a0On the way down and on the way home she screamed until I got in the back with her and Carson. \u00a0Then she was all smiles! \u00a0We got home around 8, I fed Betsy, we got everyone in pajamas and everyone slept until after 7 the next morning. \u00a0We were all pretty beat but had a great time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
