This past weekend was a busy one, but it was wonderful. \u00a0Some of my favorite people came up to Amarillo for a baby shower. \u00a0I can’t thank those people enough for making the trip. \u00a0The lovely ladies who threw the shower put so much work in to it. \u00a0I would have never thought of the cute touches they added to everything. \u00a0You guys know who you are and I love y’all!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

My mom, two of my sisters and my nephew Beckett came also. \u00a0Ben had babysitting duty with Beckett, who is 2 and a half and a really great kid. \u00a0However, I am thankful that we won’t start with a 2 and a half year old! \u00a0I don’t think I could keep up with him all day. \u00a0It will be good to start with a baby who can’t run off and take apart my air freshener. \u00a0Here is an adorable picture of he and my mom. \u00a0A special thanks to Carrie Hartman for being the photographer this weekend :)<\/p>\n

The shower food was beautiful and delicious. \u00a0The lemon cups were such a hit, and I am sure that left unsupervised I could have eaten about 6 of them. \u00a0I am still enjoying some of the other treats that I was lucky enough to take home with me!<\/p>\n

I love the little birds on the coconut cupcakes. \u00a0Kimberly gave me a few to keep that I plan to use somewhere in Baby Z’s room.<\/p>\n

The raspberry white chocolate almond bars were crazy good. \u00a0I might just have to have \u00a0one for breakfast tomorrow.<\/p>\n

We received so many sweet gifts that I am excited to put to good use. \u00a0Thanks to all the Amarillo folks who took time out of their busy Saturday to come to the shower. \u00a0It meant so much to have so many great friends there.<\/p>\n

I did my first load of baby laundry with my new baby laundry soap last night and folded things and put them away. \u00a0Those newborn onesies are pretty adorable! \u00a0In about 8 weeks, we’ll get to use them!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
