We all somehow ended up getting wet and despite my best efforts with one free hand and a small kitchen towel we all tracked water and mud inside onto my freshly cleaned floors. \u00a0Before kids that would&#8217;ve driven me crazy. \u00a0Well, even before Betsy it would&#8217;ve driven me crazy. \u00a0But it didn&#8217;t drive me crazy. \u00a0I wiped it up, and was really happy about how much fun we&#8217;d outside. \u00a0That doesn&#8217;t happen to me very often. \u00a0It felt really nice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I bought Betsy a big girl car seat today. \u00a0It&#8217;s kind of beautiful, much nicer than Carson&#8217;s, which makes me feel bad, like we jipped him. \u00a0I had a 25% off coupon and a $10 coupon so it was a good deal. \u00a0When I put in the car I got giddy about it and that made me feel like a dork. \u00a0These are the things you get excited about when you&#8217;re a mom. \u00a0That and new vacuums! \u00a0Is that not all moms? \u00a0Just me? \u00a0Ok. \u00a0Anyway, after installing it I thought that the middle seat looked like it wasn&#8217;t as cozy as it used to be. \u00a0And sure enough, I cannot fit myself between the car seats unless I put my arms around the back, which isn&#8217;t too comfortable. \u00a0So I can only hope that being forward facing will mean Betsy won&#8217;t need anyone in the back with her during long car rides because I can only think of a few people I know who are going to fit back there, and I am not one of them.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; In the rain It rained pretty much all day today. \u00a0We went outside to watch it this afternoon and Carson walked right out in the yard and had a blast getting wet and running around, which is kind of out of character.
