{"id":2780,"date":"2013-11-16T10:05:02","date_gmt":"2013-11-16T16:05:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/babyz.hottie-biscotti.com\/?p=2780"},"modified":"2013-11-16T10:06:30","modified_gmt":"2013-11-16T16:06:30","slug":"319365","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/babyz\/2013\/11\/16\/319365\/","title":{"rendered":"319\/365"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/babyz.hottie-biscotti.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/11-15-13.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2781\" alt=\"11-15-13\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/babyz.hottie-biscotti.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/11-15-13.jpg?resize=634%2C425\" width=\"634\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/babyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/11-15-13.jpg?w=793 793w, https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/babyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/11-15-13.jpg?resize=300%2C200 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<em>&#8220;Come on, Mom. \u00a0This is lame.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Betsy didn&#8217;t come right out and say that to me, but I can see it&#8217;s what she meant by this look.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I wanted to have family pictures taken for Christmas cards this year. \u00a0But it&#8217;s mid November and the chances of us finding an affordable photographer, finding a time to take them, getting Ben on board with the whole thing, getting pictures back, then having cards printed and in the mail was beyond low. \u00a0They would&#8217;ve been Happy New Year or Happy Valentine&#8217;s Day cards instead of Christmas cards. \u00a0So I thought to myself, &#8220;How hard can it be to take pictures? \u00a0Ben and I won&#8217;t be in them, but no one cares about us anyway, they just want to see our kids.&#8221; \u00a0So I decided to do them myself. \u00a0Other than outfits, I hadn&#8217;t thought about what I was going to do or use. \u00a0So I pulled out a decorative Christmas tree and a big white blanket, set up my camera and brought the kids outside in the back yard. \u00a0Turns out taking pictures of kids without help is hard. \u00a0So, that&#8217;s why people hire photographers! \u00a0Betsy wouldn&#8217;t stay put. \u00a0They were doing yard work at the house behind us which distracted both Carson and Betsy. \u00a0The dogs next door were barking, further distraction. \u00a0I was frustrated. \u00a0I&#8217;m pretty sure I said\/yelled something like, &#8220;Why can&#8217;t you both just sit there and smile?!&#8221; \u00a0They&#8217;re 1 and 3, that&#8217;s why. \u00a0But in the end we got a few really adorable shots. \u00a0They&#8217;re not professional, but they&#8217;re cute and I saved some money. \u00a0One day I will have family pictures taken, maybe when the kids are more capable of sitting still. \u00a0And Ben, you are going to like it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0&#8220;Come on, Mom. \u00a0This is lame.&#8221; Betsy didn&#8217;t come right out and say that to me, but I can see it&#8217;s what she meant by this look.
