Merry Christmas!<\/em><\/p>\n

I am so thankful to have married into this family. \u00a0In talking to my sisters over the last few days we all expressed a desire to be together because we have a lot of traditions that we don’t experience with our in laws. \u00a0My family is a little ridiculous when it comes to Christmas traditions. \u00a0We always eat the same meals for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning and Christmas dinner. \u00a0And we always watch Les Miserables on Christmas Day. \u00a0No exception! \u00a0We bring a copy of it with us if we’re traveling. \u00a0We make and eat the same cookies. \u00a0We always do presents and stockings separately, one before breakfast and one after. \u00a0And people get a little miffed when some part of that doesn’t or cannot happen. \u00a0So when we’re not together we miss those things. \u00a0But I think I am among a small group of people who really enjoys her in laws. \u00a0Things are different when I’m not with my family, but I love being with the Ben’s family. \u00a0Having good in laws is pretty special.<\/p>\n

Today we had Swedish pancakes for breakfast.<\/p>\n

Then we took a walk.<\/p>\n

Then we went to Chris’s to do stockings.<\/p>\n

Tonight we had Christmas dinner.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 Not sure why I thought it was a good idea to sit these two next to each other. \u00a0Betsy kept stealing Carson’s food even though she had the same things in front of her. \u00a0Everything was delicious! \u00a0I went back for seconds at around 10:30 this evening.<\/p>\n

On our way home we went to look at some Christmas lights that are synchronized with music on a radio station.<\/p>\n

The kids (and I!) really loved it. \u00a0The last song they played was Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and Carson demanded it be sung 3 times on the way home. \u00a0Of course we complied with his request. \u00a0It was a really fun and enjoyable day. \u00a0Merry Christmas!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
