20 Weeks<\/em><\/p>\n

We went in for our 20 weeks ultrasound and anatomy scan yesterday and everything went well, although the doctor did spend a lot of time looking at baby’s abdomen, increasing and decreasing the brightness, which of course made me anxious. \u00a0But in the end said everything looked ok. \u00a0They gave us a few good pictures to take home.<\/p>\n

After a lot of uncertainty (from me), we decided not to find out the gender of the baby. \u00a0I was torn about it. \u00a0Wanting to know, but also wanting to be surprised like we were with Carson. \u00a0I can honestly say I don’t think there is a better way to do it, having done it both ways. \u00a0I felt like there was pressure from people on both sides, and that’s hard to ignore when making a decision like this, especially when you’re unsure yourself. \u00a0But now that we decided not to find out I feel better about it and am ready to prepare for a baby and not get all worked up about a girl or a boy. \u00a0I’ll just have clothes ready for both. \u00a0I’m going to use the bedding that we used for Carson, black and white with the birds. \u00a0I’m glad to use it again since Kate made it.<\/p>\n

Since we’re not finding out I thought putting a poll on the blog would be fun. \u00a0So feel free to vote! \u00a0It’s on the sidebar of the blog.<\/p>\n

In general I feel fine. \u00a0I’ve gained 12 pounds. \u00a0I’m\u00a0feeling the baby move, just little flutters throughout the day. \u00a0I’m starting to get heartburn like I did with Carson and Betsy after eating just about anything. \u00a0I hate heartburn. \u00a0But other than that everything is going well, for which I am very thankful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
