Monday:<\/strong>\u00a0Ben and I were in Boston today. \u00a0We woke up late, had a leisurely breakfast and then went to the Isabella Gardner Museum. \u00a0Lunch, then some Freedom Trail walking, back to the hotel then out for dinner.<\/p>\n

Tuesday:<\/strong>\u00a0Since hotel check out was today at noon we had to plan our morning carefully. \u00a0We went to the Public Garden, then walked in Beacon Hill up and down Charles street. \u00a0Back to the hotel for check out, then we had to drive to wherever we wanted to go next which resulted in our biggest fight of the trip. \u00a0Driving and trying to park in Boston SUCKS. \u00a0Sorry, but it does. \u00a0We ended up walking by the wharf and having lunch before going to the airport. \u00a0We got back to our house around 11 and stayed up too late talking to our moms.<\/p>\n

Wednesday:<\/strong>\u00a0Kate and my mom both stayed until around 10 this morning, then I took the kids to Target to get a few groceries and things. \u00a0It was a kind of hard adjustment for Carson, he acted out a little, my mom and Kate said it was to get back at me for leaving :) \u00a0But by the end of the day things were relatively back to normal. \u00a0Ben got home early enough from work that both kids got to see him, which was good for everyone. \u00a0The whole family unit back together! \u00a0I had a spectacular time on the trip with Ben, but coming home made me even more thankful that I get to spend every day with Carson and Betsy. \u00a0I love our family and my job.<\/p>\n

Thursday:\u00a0<\/strong>Last week we lost Betsy’s bunny and a shoe at the zoo. \u00a0Since I bought a zoo pass I thought we should go ahead and make a morning of it and get our things from lost and found then spend some time at the zoo. \u00a0After that we met Ben for lunch, made a short trip to Trader Joes for groceries for dinner, then home for naps.<\/p>\n

Friday:\u00a0<\/strong>This morning Carson asked for waffles, and I was in a good mood, so I said OK. \u00a0After getting everything together and as I started mixing things up he said, “I don’t want waffles.” \u00a0To which I replied, “Sorry, that’s what we’re having.” \u00a0It ended up being fine, no one broke down in tears or refused to eat waffles, but it was funny. \u00a0How quickly the desires of a 3 year old change!\u00a0We didn’t leave the house for anything but a walk and some playtime at the park. \u00a0It was supposed to rain today, so when it looked nice this morning I figured we should take advantage of it. \u00a0After walking home we played outside for a while before lunch and naps. \u00a0I laid down also after cleaning the kitchen. \u00a0Amazingly I got in almost 2 hours, at 4:30 I thought something must be wrong with Betsy since she’s been asleep this long. \u00a0I went upstairs and she was just sitting in her crib playing with her animals. \u00a0Happy as a clam. \u00a0We went to get Carson, who was also awake but just hanging out in bed. \u00a0Betsy got so excited when we went in to his room. \u00a0It made me smile and, sorry for being so emotional about the kids, but so thankful that they like each other and that I get to watch them grow up and change and learn things. \u00a0Being a mom is the best. \u00a0Ben and I stayed up too late watching House of Cards…<\/p>\n

Saturday:<\/strong>\u00a0We woke up, ate breakfast, went to HEB while Ben got a haircut then came home. \u00a0I made a cake for a dinner party we’re going to tonight for our small group. \u00a0After I got it in the oven Ben helped me take the top bunk off and move it Betsy’s room! \u00a0By “Ben helped” I mean he did 98% of the work. \u00a0After not being so sure about sleeping in the big bed and dropping her bunny on the floor and freaking out about it she finally settled down and took a nap in her big girl bed! \u00a0It’s a big step. \u00a0After she woke up Ben took her on a run and it rained on them, but Betsy was a champ and didn’t complain one bit about being soaked. \u00a0We went to our small group dinner and it was wonderful. \u00a0The kids did OK and I think provided some of the evening entertainment.<\/p>\n

Sunday:\u00a0<\/strong>After church we had lunch with the MacKenzie’s then came home for naps. \u00a0Everyone took a nap actually, which was pretty wonderful. \u00a0The rest of our day was pretty laid back, although bath and bed time was kind of exhausting. \u00a0We ran a quick errand after the kids had dinner, so when we got home they were both tired and really needed to go\u00a0straight to bed, so getting a bath in was a chore.<\/p>\n
