This was the first weekend that Ben and I have been by ourselves with Carson. \u00a0He is 3 weeks old now, and we tried a bunch of new things with him this weekend.<\/p>\n

On Friday afternoon, Carson took a 3 hour nap in the crib so we decided to try him out in the crib that night. \u00a0We put him in there when we went to bed, he woke up to eat around 2am, then I put him back in the crib but he wasn’t having it. \u00a0So, he spent the rest of the night in our room. \u00a0Saturday night, he did a much better job. \u00a0He woke up a little more than normal, but fell asleep in the crib after each feeding. \u00a0I was glued to the monitor a lot of the night, but he did well. \u00a0We’ll see if that happens again any time soon!<\/p>\n

Ben offered to stay home with Carson for a few hours on Saturday while I ran some errands. \u00a0It was great to get out for a while without having to worry about getting a car seat in and out of the car, and worrying about whether or not I’d be able to get what I needed before Carson decided he’d had just about enough of Target. \u00a0While I was gone Ben discovered the power of the pacifier. \u00a0What a terrific invention!<\/p>\n

Saturday afternoon we took a family walk. \u00a0Ben took care of walking Ginger and I drove the stroller. \u00a0It was a little chilly, so I was thankful that we had this carseat cover. \u00a0It’s a great item to have in cooler weather. \u00a0Thanks, Joan and Ashley!<\/p>\n

Sunday morning we brought Carson with us to Sunday school. \u00a0He slept the entire time, only making a few little noises here and there. \u00a0We kept him covered, and hopefully away from any bad germs. \u00a0We’ve been told that church is a dangerous place for newborns…<\/p>\n

Carson got to wear one of the cute outfits that Grandma Kate bought for him. \u00a0He’s starting to get a little long for some of his newborn clothes, so I’m trying to get as much use out of them as possible!<\/p>\n

Sunday afternoon we took a walk in the park. \u00a0We had to drive there, so that added another step to the process. \u00a0It was a cool day, so we got bundled up. \u00a0It has been so nice to get out of the house and move around. \u00a0Hopefully the weather will stay nice enough for us to keep doing it! \u00a0I love the snow, but I will be OK if this year we don’t get too much of it.<\/p>\n
