Christopher arrived on Monday morning, much faster than any of us thought he would! \u00a0I went in to be induced that morning at 4am, but before they’d started any pitocin, while I was walking around the hospital room, my water broke. \u00a0They still put me on the pitocin, around 6:30 I think. \u00a0I had some painful contractions, asked for the epidural and got it, then found out I was 8cm dilated. \u00a0From there it was a quick process and we had a baby boy before we knew it. \u00a0I only pushed 3 or 4 times and there he was. \u00a0This was by far the easiest labor and delivery for me and I am so thankful that it went the way it did.<\/p>\n

Carson and Betsy both came up to see us. \u00a0Carson loves his baby brother, and Betsy is just kind of cool with it. \u00a0I think she’s too young to really get it.<\/p>\n

We came home from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon after waiting what felt like forever to get discharged.<\/p>\n

When we got home my mom was there and both kids were still asleep. \u00a0After they’d woken up we were all on the couch and we tried to take a picture…<\/p>\n

Carson flipped out. \u00a0Betsy started to cry because Carson was crying. \u00a0I love the looks on\u00a0our faces.<\/p>\n

This one was better.<\/p>\n

I am so thankful for my mom who came and stayed the night before we went to the hospital and for my dad who came the night before. \u00a0For Kate and Steve who drove down from Austin to see Christopher on his birthday and then back home in the same day. \u00a0For Carrie who spent the day with the kids so that my mom could spend some time at the hospital. \u00a0For the friends who came to visit us at the hospital, and for the family and friends who prayed for us and for Christopher and who called (texted\/emailed\/etc) us when he was born. \u00a0For beautiful flowers, thank you Locketts, Persherns and Kims! \u00a0Very thankful for an incredible husband who is so loving, supportive ad encouraging. \u00a0And most of all thankful for the healthy baby boy who has joined our family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
