I headed out to Round Rock on Sunday afternoon and spent that night, all day Monday and Tuesday morning there. \u00a0Grandpa Marvin was there so it was really good to get some time with him.<\/p>\n

On Monday night we went to a birthday dinner for Debbie Collier then Sarah and I went to see Mockingjay Part 1! \u00a0Thanks to mom and dad for taking the kids home and getting them all in bed.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday morning my mom kept the kids and I got to make a little Thanksgiving grocery store trip all by myself. \u00a0Thanks, mom :)<\/p>\n

On Wednesday Kate Stafford took family photos for us. \u00a0The kids did ok. \u00a0Betsy was the most difficult. \u00a0Basically she just wanted to do the opposite of what anyone asked her to do. \u00a0I am looking forward to seeing the photos, though. \u00a0Kate does a great job of capturing real life in a lovely way. After pictures we had lunch, then Carson, Ben and Steve went out to the lake to clean up and do yard work while Kate and I stayed home and did some cooking for Thanksgiving. \u00a0Chris flew in that night.<\/p>\n

We headed out to the lake on Thursday after Christopher’s morning nap. \u00a0Carson really enjoys riding with Ben. \u00a0It’s their special time. \u00a0I hope we remember to do it with Betsy and Christopher as they get older. Thanksgiving was lovely. \u00a0The weather was amazing and so was the meal. \u00a0A special thanks to Lynn for hosting and for all the work she did on the food! \u00a0I seriously dread the day when I have to head up a Thanksgiving meal. \u00a0I am sure I will not do it nearly as well. \u00a0Since both A&M and UT played that night we drove back home and got back not too much after the games had started. \u00a0We both ended up losing.<\/p>\n

Friday we had lunch at Elizabeth street. \u00a0Thanks for setting it up, Claire! That afternoon Ben and I went on a run with Christopher. \u00a0I wish we both had more time to do that. \u00a0It’s so good for both of us, physically and mentally. \u00a0One day we’ll get back in to the groove. \u00a0Right now we just take the opportunities when they come! \u00a0Thanks for staying with the big kids while we went, Steve.<\/p>\n

That night we took a walk on the town lake boardwalk. \u00a0I joked that I got more exercise that day than I usually get in a week, only it wasn’t a joke. Kate had made a cake for Ben’s birthday so we celebrated that night.<\/p>\n

On Saturday we went back home after lunch.<\/p>\n

Ben’s birthday was Sunday. \u00a0I made him birthday kolaches, we went to church, the kids took pretty good naps (thank goodness!), Ben took Christopher on a run and I cleaned and prepared for the Hartmans and Gilberts to come over for dinner. \u00a0It was a little surprise for Ben and I think he had a good time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
