When I started writing this post I noticed 2 drafts in my WordPress. \u00a0One draft for 10 months, and one draft for 11 months. \u00a0I have not been keeping up. \u00a0I blame it on my ever increasingly mobile child. \u00a0Is it bad to blame things on your kid? \u00a0I think it is. \u00a0So I guess I’ll take the blame and admit to being just a little lazy.<\/p>\n

There haven’t been any huge developments since I posted last. \u00a0Carson is just getting better at what he was already able to do. \u00a0He pulls up on anything, he crawls everywhere, he pulls things out of boxes and bags and usually sticks them in his mouth, he babbles all the time, he eats well and feeds himself pretty well, and he is getting so much fun to play with. \u00a0He has 4 teeth now. \u00a02 on bottom and 2 on top. \u00a0But the ones on top aren’t the front two. \u00a0He has one of the big ones, and then one of the little guys next to it. \u00a0It’s pretty cute, but something I have not gotten a good picture of.<\/p>\n

Carson and I are living with my parents now since Ben is in Houston and our house in Amarillo hasn’t sold yet. \u00a0Living alone with a little guy was much harder and more lonely than I thought it would be. \u00a0Living with my parents, while being a bit of an adjustment, is great. \u00a0It’s nice to have someone to watch Carson when I need to get something done. \u00a0We miss Daddy, of course, but since we’re closer to Houston we get to see him more often.<\/p>\n

I am in the process of planning Carson’s 1st birthday party! \u00a0I have grand plans to make this party perfect and wonderful, but I am trying to remind myself that he won’t remember any of it and so I don’t need to go overboard. \u00a0We’re going cowboy themed, which I think is going to be a lot of fun. \u00a0I sure do enjoy party planning in the early stages…I have a feeling I’ll get a little stressed about it as it approaches and wish I’d just bought a cake and a few balloons.<\/p>\n

Along with being a lazy blogger, I have been a lazy photographer. \u00a0So yesterday I decided to charge up the camera battery and make a concerted effort to get some shots of Carson. \u00a0Here are some of the highlights of our day!<\/p>\n

We played around in our diaper all morning. \u00a0Although in this shot we look naked…\"\"<\/a>We played piano.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We watched Pete the kitty cat who was sitting right outside the front door. \u00a0I love both of these pictures.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We tried to figure out how to get all the pretty and very breakable things off the top of this table.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We practiced clapping. \u00a0One of our very favorite tricks along with “So big!”.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Then we took a nap, woke up, took a walk, then ate lunch. \u00a0I promise I give my child more than crackers…we also had some applesauce and sweet potatoes. \u00a0However, I do think he would be totally content with a meal of Ritz. \u00a0I can’t really blame him. \u00a0They are delicious.<\/p>\n

We practiced sharing with Ginger.<\/p>\n

We ran a few errands with Mormor, ate dinner, then carved our very first JACK-O-LANTERN with grandpa!<\/p>\n

Grandpa and Carson both tried on part of our Halloween costume.<\/p>\n
