Carson is making the move from baby to a real little boy. \u00a0His roly poly body (while still complete with belly bulge) is slimming out a bit. \u00a0Shorts that a few weeks ago were struggling to button or snap closed are now fitting fine. \u00a0He’s climbing up onto chairs and the piano bench so he can sing E-I-E-I-O while accompanying himself.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He is very into anything with a motor that says “vroom vroom”. \u00a0Trains (which actually say “choo choo”), cars, trucks, lawnmowers, weed eaters, construction equipment, and even the car keys alone make him say “vroom vroom”. \u00a0Today we got out of the car after coming home from the gym and he turned to the car, waved and said “Bye bye, vroom vroom.”<\/p>\n

When I went to visit family last week one of his favorite things to do, and something I’m sure he would have been happy doing the entire time we were there, was to sit in the drivers seat of the car and play with the steering wheel, buttons, and car horn. \u00a0He was always unhappy when we had to leave.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This morning my mom called. \u00a0I answered the phone and she asks, “Are you ok?” all worried sounding. \u00a0Turns out that earlier that morning she’d called, I never heard the phone ring, but Carson had my phone and had answered it. \u00a0She said that she tried to talk to him and he just kept babbling. \u00a0She was worried that I was passed out somewhere, like in Steel Magnolias. \u00a0Thankfully I was just fine. \u00a0I’m glad it was her and not someone else.<\/p>\n

If bodily functions gross you out, then don’t read this part. \u00a0While eating lunch today he propped himself up on one butt cheek and farted, then sat back down, said “poo poo” and kept right on eating. \u00a0I had to include this in my post because I know it’s something I’ll want to remember. \u00a0Boys are boys, I guess. \u00a0I feel for his little sister who will have to deal with all of the nasty things boys do for no other reason than that they are boys. \u00a0I know there are times when it will just gross me out, but today I had to laugh. \u00a0I do love seeing him become more and more of a boy.<\/p>\n

Last weekend we went to an Astros baseball game. \u00a0It was Carson’s first one, if you don’t count the Rangers playoff game we went to when I was 8 months pregnant with him. \u00a0He lasted through the 7th inning, which was a big deal considering nap time should have started during the 3rd. \u00a0He’d clap and cheer, mostly for the Rangers (since the Astros didn’t do a whole lot worth cheering for). \u00a0He ate lots of pop corn. \u00a0I look forward to when he can get really excited about it and talk with Ben about the game.<\/p>\n
