\u00a0I saw it in the Food Network magazine that I picked up at the airport so that I would have some &#8220;reading&#8221; material for the plane. \u00a0I saw it and immediately knew I had to make it. \u00a0There are also ideas for making wreaths out of rock candy, cinnamon sticks and popcorn. \u00a0All very cute, but this was my favorite. \u00a0You can see them all <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/food\/recipes_and_cooking\/article\/0,1000011,FOOD_32086_6023051_05,00.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2575\" title=\"mallowwreath\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/mallowwreath.jpg?resize=400%2C506\" alt=\"mallowwreath\" width=\"400\" height=\"506\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/mallowwreath.jpg?w=400 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/mallowwreath.jpg?resize=237%2C300 237w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My color scheme this year for Christmas is blue, white, silver and sparkle, so this wreath seemed like a perfect addition to our holiday decor.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2576\" title=\"mallowwreath2\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/mallowwreath2.jpg?resize=270%2C300\" alt=\"mallowwreath2\" width=\"270\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/mallowwreath2.jpg?resize=270%2C300 270w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/mallowwreath2.jpg?w=400 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mine doesn&#8217;t look like the one in the magazine, but I think it turned out pretty great considering my skill in crafts.<\/p>\n<p>It took me about 30 minutes to put together, not including the time it needs to set in the fridge. \u00a0Make sure you let it set. \u00a0When I hung this on my door I could see that an hour in the fridge was not enough as the soft mallows began to get flattened. \u00a0I will hang it permanently tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>In the first stages of attaching the marshmallows it looked like it would end up being a complete disaster. \u00a0I started to brainstorm what I could make with all the marshmallows I bought. \u00a0But I kept adding more and more marshmallows, and it started to take shape. \u00a0I filled in the holes with the mini mallows, and while there are some spots of styrofoam\u00a0visible, it looks OK.<\/p>\n<p>I may not be the most creative or crafty person out there, but I made a wreath, I made it out of food, and I had fun doing it. \u00a0So, for me anyway, this was a success.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the instructions, if you&#8217;d like to make one yourself. \u00a0I think it would be cute to make little ones and use them as candle rings, or even as napkin rings. \u00a0One successful crafting experience and I&#8217;m getting entirely too ambitious! \u00a0Maybe I&#8217;ll just stick with this so that I can avoid any disappointment in crafting disasters.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 1em;\">Marshmallow Wreath<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>You will need a few bags of large marshmallows, and one bag of mini marshmallows.<\/li>\n<li>Insert about 150 toothpicks halfway into a 12-inch flat foam wreath, then skewer a marshmallow onto each toothpick.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate overnight to set.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0;float:none;height:70px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2009\/12\/05\/marshmallow-wreath\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"400\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Isn&#8217;t this wreath adorable?
