Almond Chicken Salad<\/h6>\n<p>Adapted from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Pastry-Queen-Royally-Recipes-Countrys\/dp\/1580085628\" target=\"_blank\">The Pastry Queen<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2-3 cups chopped cooked chicken<\/li>\n<li>1 Granny Smith apple, cored and diced<\/li>\n<li>2-3 stalks of celery, diced<\/li>\n<li>4-5 green onions, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup chopped fresh parsley<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 to 3\/4 cup mayonnaise<\/li>\n<li>1 cup slivered blanched almonds, toasted<\/li>\n<li>salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Directions<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine the chicken, apple, celery, green onion, parsley and tarragon in a large bowl. \u00a0Mix until well combined.<\/li>\n<li>Add in the mayonnaise, salt and pepper and stir until thoroughly mixed.<\/li>\n<li>Add the almonds right before you plan to serve the salad so the almonds stay crunchy.<\/li>\n<li>Serve on bread, rolls, croissants, crackers or salad greens.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0;float:none;height:70px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2010\/09\/07\/apple-almond-chicken-salad\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"400\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Few things are better than a really delicious chicken salad on some really delicious bread. \u00a0This chicken salad is really delicious.
