{"id":4548,"date":"2011-02-03T09:34:03","date_gmt":"2011-02-03T15:34:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/?p=4548"},"modified":"2011-02-03T09:34:03","modified_gmt":"2011-02-03T15:34:03","slug":"frosted-cocoa-brownies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2011\/02\/03\/frosted-cocoa-brownies\/","title":{"rendered":"Frosted Cocoa Brownies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oh my. \u00a0These are decadent. \u00a0I wish I hadn&#8217;t made a full recipe because now they&#8217;re calling to me from the kitchen, &#8220;Carrie, it&#8217;s just one more little piece of goodness. \u00a0No one will even notice that you ate me&#8230;except your jeans! \u00a0Mwahaha!&#8221; \u00a0I hate you evil brownies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/CocoaBrownies.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4549\" title=\"CocoaBrownies\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/CocoaBrownies.jpg?resize=400%2C298\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/CocoaBrownies.jpg?w=400 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/CocoaBrownies.jpg?resize=300%2C223 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/CocoaBrownies.jpg?resize=150%2C111 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Desserts with which you have a love-hate relationship are usually the best ones. \u00a0This brownie recipe will be one that I will make again. \u00a0Simple ingredients. \u00a0Easy preparation. \u00a0Sinfully good. \u00a0And while I ate more than one for dessert, a normal person with a healthy relationship with sweets really only needs one to be satisfied.<\/p>\n<p>I found this recipe on Tasty Kitchen, the recipe sharing site from the Pioneer Woman. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thepioneerwoman.com\/tasty-kitchen\/\" target=\"_blank\">Here is the link<\/a> to the site. \u00a0I&#8217;ve enjoyed searching through all the recipes, but have yet to submit any of my own. \u00a0There are already so many recipes with a pretty great variety that I don&#8217;t know if I will. \u00a0One of the things I like about sites like these is that real people made the recipes and so they are usually pretty easy and tasty. \u00a0Thank you, Tasty Kitchen!<\/p>\n<p>On the site these brownies are called &#8220;Are We in Heaven? \u00a0No&#8230;It&#8217;s Just the Brownies.&#8221; which is what made me take a second look at this recipe. \u00a0I thought it was funny. \u00a0Would I say that these brownies are like being in heaven? \u00a0No. \u00a0Nothing on this earth is going to be that good. \u00a0But they are incredibly good.<\/p>\n<p>The brownie is fudgy. \u00a0The frosting is pretty sweet, so a thin layer is all you need.<!--more--><strong>Frosted Cocoa Brownies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>BROWNIES:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 Cup Melted Butter<\/li>\n<li>2 Cups Granulated Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 Teaspoons Vanilla<\/li>\n<li>4 Eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 Cup Flour<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 Cup Cocoa<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FROSTING:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 Tablespoons Softened Butter<\/li>\n<li>6 Tablespoon Cocoa<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon Vanilla<\/li>\n<li>2 Cups Powdered Sugar<\/li>\n<li>3-5 Tablespoons Milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preparation<\/p>\n<p>BROWNIES:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Blend butter, sugar and vanilla. Add each egg one at a time just until incorporated.<\/li>\n<li>Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder, then blend into butter mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Spread into a greased 9\u00d713 pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
