{"id":4675,"date":"2011-07-20T07:37:23","date_gmt":"2011-07-20T13:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/?p=4675"},"modified":"2011-07-20T07:37:23","modified_gmt":"2011-07-20T13:37:23","slug":"what-i-want-wednesday-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/20\/what-i-want-wednesday-8\/","title":{"rendered":"What I Want Wednesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I heard that Borders was closing all of its stores I became really sad about the whole thing. \u00a0Empty stores left in shopping centers. \u00a0It&#8217;s depressing. \u00a0But I&#8217;ve seen the signs. \u00a0iPad, Kindle, Nook, etc. \u00a0Books are dying. \u00a0I&#8217;m pretty sure that at some point kids will no longer check out books from a school library, but download them instead. \u00a0This makes me a little sad. \u00a0But I&#8217;m contributing to this paperless future by getting a lot of my recipes online. \u00a0Cookbooks are lovely, and I have too many. \u00a0I&#8217;ve lamented about this problem before.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">So, today I&#8217;m wanting <a href=\"http:\/\/bakednyc.com\/page\/book\/baked-new-frontiers-in-baking\" target=\"_blank\">this cookbook<\/a> from Baked in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Baked: New Frontiers in Baking.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/baked3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4677\" title=\"baked3\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/baked3.jpg?resize=500%2C500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/baked3.jpg?w=500 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/baked3.jpg?resize=150%2C150 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/baked3.jpg?resize=300%2C300 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/baked3.jpg?resize=400%2C400 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My sister lives in Brooklyn, so I was able to get some goodies from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/03\/baked-in-brooklyn\/\" target=\"_blank\">Baked last summer on my visit<\/a>. \u00a0The bakery is cool. \u00a0Their sweet offerings make you weak in the knees. \u00a0I want to go there right now for breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>My sister turned me on to this blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/crepesofwrath.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Crepes of Wrath<\/a>, who\u00a0has made a few of the recipes from the Baked cookbook.
