{"id":4694,"date":"2011-08-24T15:28:37","date_gmt":"2011-08-24T21:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/?p=4694"},"modified":"2011-08-24T15:28:37","modified_gmt":"2011-08-24T21:28:37","slug":"what-i-want-wednesday-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/24\/what-i-want-wednesday-9\/","title":{"rendered":"What I Want Wednesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Have I really been this neglectful to my blog? \u00a02 weeks without a post? \u00a0I am a terrible person and I promise to be better. \u00a0Things have been a little crazy around here getting our house ready to sell. \u00a0My house has never looked better! \u00a0We are leaving Amarillo and moving to Houston once we sell this lovely little place. \u00a0I have mixed emotions about the move. \u00a0It is bittersweet.<\/p>\n<p>I am by no means a gardener, but I&#8217;ve been attempting to learn more about plants and gardening since having a yard I can work in. \u00a0If you&#8217;ve been to my house and seen my yard you are currently thinking, &#8220;She was <em>working<\/em> on that yard?&#8221; \u00a0Did I say I was successful? \u00a0Anyway, I really do want to be a good gardener. \u00a0I want to grow vegetables that I can cook with, and flowers that I can cut and arrange in a vase in my house, I want to sit and have a cup of coffee out among my lush and flourishing foliage. \u00a0But I should be realistic, I am no Ina Garten, and I live in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things I really, really want is a functional herb garden. \u00a0I have managed to grow rosemary and so I never have to buy it from the grocery store. \u00a0I just head out back and snip a few sprigs. \u00a0It makes me happy. \u00a0Basil? \u00a0No luck. \u00a0Mint?
