S&#8217;mores Mousse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The name of this retro dessert in the cookbook I found it in is chocolate marlow, but I figured that while that might intrigue some people, it would be better to describe it more&#8230;descriptively. \u00a0It&#8217;s a chocolate and marshmallow mousse that&#8217;s frozen then topped with whipped cream, sugar coated graham crackers and some chopped chocolate. \u00a0In other words, \u00a0amazing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/smorespudding1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6083 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/smorespudding1.jpg?resize=858%2C1225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you like the flavors of a s&#8217;more but want something a little different and dressed up, then you&#8217;ll love this. \u00a0The marshmallow flavor is there but is not overwhelming or cloying. \u00a0The graham crackers are baked with egg white and a sprinkling of sugar that transforms them into something really incredible. \u00a0There&#8217;s a terrific crunch from the sugar and a kind of toasted-ness that makes these a perfect garnish. \u00a0I&#8217;d definitely make more graham crackers next time since they&#8217;re also a good alternative to a spoon or fork!<\/p>\n<p>After making a chocolate base of marshmallow, chocolate and milk it is chilled then folded in with whipped cream. \u00a0After a 1 hour chill in the freezer it is perfectly scoop-able. \u00a0If you allow it to harden completely in the freezer you need to let it sit out for 20-30 minutes before scooping.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/smorespudding2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6084 size-full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After scooping I decided topping this with a little sweetened whipped cream couldn&#8217;t hurt anybody. \u00a0A couple of the graham crackers and a\u00a0square of chocolate top this Recipes\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Serves 6-8<\/p>\n<p><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mousse<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups mini marshmallows<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cup milk<\/li>\n<li>6 ounces semisweet chocolate (I used 4 ounces semisweet and 2 ounces 60% cocoa) chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons vanilla<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/3 cups heavy cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sugared Crackers<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 whole graham crackers (or more)<\/li>\n<li>1 egg white, lightly beaten<\/li>\n<li>granulated sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Garnish<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sweetened whipped cream<\/li>\n<li>chocolate squares<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Directions<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mousse<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine the marshmallows, milk and chocolate in a saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly until marshmallows are melted completely and mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mixture into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill for an hour in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<li>Whip cream to soft peaks and stir in vanilla.<\/li>\n<li>Fold whipped cream into chocolate mixture,<\/li>\n<li>Scoop into a 2 quart souffle dish and freeze for 1 hour.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Sugared Graham Crackers<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.<\/li>\n<li>Lay crackers out on cookie sheet. \u00a0Brush each with the egg white, then sprinkle evenly with sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 5 minutes, then let cool completely and break into pieces.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Assemble<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If mousse is still scoop-able, scoop into dessert bowls. \u00a0If it is too hard to scoop, let warm up a bit.<\/li>\n<li>Top with whipped cream, a couple of crackers and a chocolate square.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px
