love dates\u00a0that have some numerical-mathematical significance. \u00a03-14-15 and 3.1415! \u00a0It&#8217;s amazing! \u00a0And tasty.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC_0620.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7090\" my goodness. \u00a0These sweet little pies are magical. \u00a0The best way I can describe them is to compare them to\u00a0those Duncan Hines boxed mix blueberry muffins with the can of blueberries and the streusel topping. \u00a0Making those\u00a0is one of earliest memories I have of baking something on my own. \u00a0If you haven&#8217;t ever had them before you are missing something special.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC_0599.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full came into being so perfectly. \u00a0I had a frozen pie crust (<a href=\"http:\/\/smittenkitchen.com\/blog\/2008\/11\/pie-crust-102-all-butter-really-flaky-pie-dough\/\" target=\"_blank\">this recipe from Smitten Kitchen<\/a>), a can of blueberry pie filling (don&#8217;t judge), a half package of cream cheese and some leftover frozen streusel from kolaches (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2014\/09\/27\/daring-bakers-raspberry-and-cream-cheese-kolache\/\" target=\"_blank\">this recipe<\/a>). \u00a0All of that\u00a0came together to make something so incredible that I will be making these again without changing a thing.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from making the pie crust there isn&#8217;t much work to do.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare the crusts.<\/p>\n<p><a could make this in a regular pie plate, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Calphalon-Nonstick-4-Piece-Pie-Mini\/dp\/B008BUKNY4\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1426310504&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=mini+pie+pans\" target=\"_blank\">these mini pie pans<\/a> are a generous individual size and I really liked the way the pies baked in them. \u00a0After the pies cooled they were very easily removed from the pans. \u00a0They seem pricey, but are worth it. \u00a0They&#8217;d be great for pot pies, too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC_0634.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" enjoy Pi day and have a great weekend!<\/p>\n<h3>Blueberry Cream Cheese Streusel Mini Pies<\/h3>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 unbaked pie crust for a 9-inch pie<\/li>\n<li>5 ounces cream cheese, softened<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 tablespoons sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 can blueberry pie filling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For Streusel<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup flour<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons butter, chilled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Directions<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make streusel: Use a pastry blender to combine sugar, flour and butter. \u00a0Chill.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400\u00b0F.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the pie crust into 4 pieces, roll each piece out into a circle that fits into the pan. \u00a0Trim the edges. \u00a0Freeze for 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Beat cream cheese and 1 1\/2 tablespoons of sugar together until well combined. \u00a0Spread cream cheese mixture into the bottom of each pie.<\/li>\n<li>Top with blueberry filling.<\/li>\n<li>Top with streusel.<\/li>\n<li>Place pies on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350F and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the crusts and tops are golden brown. \u00a0If they brown too quickly top with a sheet of foil.<\/li>\n<li>Let cool and then serve warm or room temp with vanilla ice cream.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\"
