If you want to make them perfect, though, then go for it.<\/p>\n<p>These are\u00a0like sweet almond butter crackers, crisp and with a nice petite size that makes for a treat\u00a0that satisfies your sweet tooth without making you feel guilty. \u00a0As with many recipe in this cookbook they&#8217;re perfect with a cup \u00a0of coffee. \u00a0I stashed what we didn&#8217;t eat in the first few days in the freezer. \u00a0I simply take a couple out in the afternoon, let them thaw a bit (or not) and enjoy them\u00a0during the few minutes of calm I get at nap time with my reheated coffee from the morning. \u00a0Such\u00a0is my glamorous life, guys.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of those recipes in FIKA that only has a few ingredients (all of which I almost always have) and has very little hands-on time, making it perfect for a quick treat that can be completed quickly. \u00a0Start to finish these take\u00a0under\u00a02 hours including the hour of chilling time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Rustic-Almond-Cookies-4.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7564\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7564\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Rustic-Almond-Cookies-4.jpg?resize=500%2C606\" alt=\"Rustic Almond Cookies-4\" width=\"500\" height=\"606\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Rustic-Almond-Cookies-4.jpg?w=2592 2592w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Rustic-Almond-Cookies-4.jpg?resize=247%2C300 247w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Rustic-Almond-Cookies-4.jpg?resize=768%2C931 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Rustic-Almond-Cookies-4.jpg?resize=844%2C1024 844w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Rustic-Almond-Cookies-4.jpg?w=1716 1716w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another benefit to a short ingredient list is the simplicity of this cookie, which may be another reason it&#8217;s called rustic. \u00a0Simple ingredients and a simple baking method. \u00a0I sometimes feel like if I don&#8217;t make something extravagant that&#8217;s loaded with a million special and indulgent ingredients that no one is going to care. \u00a0But\u00a0I think there is something refreshing in simplicity in the kitchen, especially in a world where people are making <a href=\"http:\/\/legacy.kvue.com\/story\/life\/food\/2016\/01\/19\/hopdoddy-round-rock-donuts-partnering-burger\/79023764\/\" target=\"_blank\">hamburgers with donut buns<\/a>. \u00a0I&#8217;m not knocking them, though.
