{"id":970,"date":"2009-05-13T23:32:39","date_gmt":"2009-05-14T05:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/?p=970"},"modified":"2014-02-07T11:07:48","modified_gmt":"2014-02-07T17:07:48","slug":"here-comes-the-groom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2009\/05\/13\/here-comes-the-groom\/","title":{"rendered":"Here comes the Groom&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Groom&#8217;s Cake Ice Cream! \u00a0Groom&#8217;s Cake is chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake pieces, chocolate coated strawberry hearts, swirled with strawberry sauce and chocolate icing. \u00a0Most of the groom&#8217;s cakes I&#8217;ve seen at weddings are some combination of chocolate with strawberry, so the name fits the flavors here.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-971\" title=\"ice-cream\" alt=\"ice-cream\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/ice-cream.jpg?resize=500%2C332\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/ice-cream.jpg?w=500 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/ice-cream.jpg?resize=300%2C199 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bluebell.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Blue Bell Ice Cream<\/a> has been a staple of my diet since I was allowed to eat ice cream. \u00a0It breaks my heart that there are people out there who can&#8217;t get Blue Bell in their local grocery store. \u00a0Blue Bell is only sold in 17 states, with their headquarters in Brenham, Texas near Houston. \u00a0You can visit the creamery, take a tour of the facilities and get a scoop of ice cream at the end! \u00a0The tour is only $3 for adults and $2 for kids. \u00a0Not a bad deal.<\/p>\n<p>I highly recommend visiting Blue Bell if you find yourself in Houston this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Ok, back to the new ice cream flavor. \u00a0Whenever I pass through the frozen food aisle I check the freezer for new flavors of Blue Bell. \u00a0There are times when I am excited about the new flavors and other times when I ask &#8220;Who decided that <em>this<\/em> was a good idea?&#8221; \u00a0I don&#8217;t always buy the new flavors that are offered. \u00a0Sometimes I just find it too hard to spend $5.99 on a half gallon of ice cream that I&#8217;m not sure I&#8217;ll like. \u00a0But this new flavor intrigued me. \u00a0I am not the biggest fan of chocolate ice cream in general. \u00a0I&#8217;d rather have vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips or chocolate fudge than just plain chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>I like this ice cream. \u00a0The cake pieces are yummy, the strawberry is not overwhelming and adds a different type of sweet than the chocolate flavors, so it works. \u00a0Look for this new creation from the &#8220;little creamery&#8221; in Brenham at your local grocery store and try it. \u00a0You know you want to&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-972\" title=\"ice-cream2\" alt=\"ice-cream2\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/ice-cream2.jpg?resize=500%2C345\" width=\"500\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/ice-cream2.jpg?w=500 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/ice-cream2.jpg?resize=300%2C207 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0;float:none;height:70px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/www.hottie-biscotti.com\/blog\/2009\/05\/13\/here-comes-the-groom\/\" send=\"false\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"400\" show_faces=\"true\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Groom&#8217;s Cake Ice Cream! \u00a0Groom&#8217;s Cake is chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake pieces, chocolate coated strawberry hearts, swirled with strawberry sauce and chocolate icing. \u00a0Most of the groom&#8217;s cakes I&#8217;ve seen at weddings are some combination of chocolate with strawberry, so the name fits the flavors here.
